RANDOM TUESDAY THOUGHTS - COUNTDOWN TO CHRISTMAS

9:17 AM Ramblings of Christina - Rant Rave Roll

It's Tuesday again, and Tuesdays just aren't complete without a little randomness and support from Stacy. So let's rock the rebellion and get our random on!

Stacy

  • I feel like I am slowly dragging myself out of a sickness cloud. Keith and I both had colds a week ago and I still haven't completely recovered. I have an annoying lingering cough. I wake up every morning with puffy eyes and every time I blink it feels like my eyelids are covered in sandpaper. Of course all of these symptoms make me think my problem is just allergies. Not a surprise really. I feel like everything is in slow motion and I know I have hundred of things I still need to do.
  • I have all of my gift wrapping done. There are still a couple of last minute deliveries I am expecting this week, but it sure is nice to know that I won't staying up into the wee hours of Christmas morning trying to wrap gifts like I have so many time in the past.
    • Friday (the Chihuahua Queen) drove me absolutely nuts last night. She would not sleep and kept scratching at the bed. On the bed, off the bed, outside.... nothing made her happy. I'm sure it had a lot to do with the bad storms that moved through last night, but either way I am sleep deprived and possibly a bit grouchy today. Consider this your warning.
    • Let me start by saying.... this is not my bathroom. I found this on Facebook:
Do you tell Santa what you want for Christmas while you are sitting there?

      • I have some posts I need to catch up on this week. Being sick sucks and always puts me behind schedule. I also have a lot of holiday baking I need to get done.
        • I got all the Christmas decorations completed. All three yes three Christmas trees are up and decorated. I have our main tree in the living room. A fully decorated tree complete with fake presents on the front porch and a mini tree in the game room. What can say, I love the holidays.
        • I do have a little problem though I seem to be missing a stocking. The annoying part is, I had them all the other day. With the addition of Keith's Uncle who lives with us, we were short a matching stocking this year. And if you know me, then you understand having all the stockings match is a big deal. I tried looking for new stockings in blue, but was unable to find anything I like that was affordable. I just can't see paying $150-300 for five stockings. So I found one that was a close match to our current red stockings. However, when I went to hang them one had disappeared. If it doesn't show up soon I am going to go with all mismatched stockings this year. One red, one blue, one purple high heel shoe, one Harley Davidson, and one white with poinsettias. Instead of my OCD freaking about one mismatched stocking, I can purposely have them all mismatched which will somehow not be as traumatic mentally.

That's it for me today. Click on over to Stacy's and check out more randomness or join in on the fun.

Feel better! Although it sounds like you've been mighty productive despite whatever you've been brewing! The mismatched stockings sound wonderful and fun!

Three Christmas trees - WOW!That must look really nice and feastive. I would love to have multiple trees in our home, but its too tiny.:( Maybe we'll do that in the next one someday. Perhaps, I should ask Santa for a larger house, what do you think? Being sick is no fun anytime, but around the holidays. Oh, you poor dear! You're not the first bloggy friend I've noticed who's been sick, either. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas!

I'd love to do a tour of homes through your house this year! 3 trees! wow!
Check the dogs kennel. That's where socks typically turn up at our house...

I've been fighting a lingering cold, too - but man, you've gotten SO much more done than me! Want to come help me out? ;) Hope you're feeling better soon!

That Santa toilet (particularly the caption) totally cracked me up!!

If that errant stocking doesn't show up soon, I'd go with the complete mismatch... :)

Have a Very Merry Christmas! :)

Oh my that Santa toilet cover is something else ;)

Hope your feeling better. Are you sure your family is not hiding the stockings just to mess with you, because that is so something my husband would do :)

Hope you're all better soon. I used to have a Santa toilet seat cover too - when you lifted it up, he covered his eyes with his little mittened hands! THREE trees! Egad. That is ambitious.
